EE's December thread, silver bells are a ringing

And hopefully the continue. Went to a dump bank to get rid of some clad and one of the tellers said she had some SBA's and a roll of halves saved for me. The SBA's didnt amount to anything but I did get 2/0% out of the halves.

Tomorrow I have 6 boxes due, Saturday I be going to hit a couple banks to get some CWR's before I go out to get some practice detecting. Going to call to see if they have any bags for sale before hand.

Well, the year ended with a whimper. Most of the banks that said they had halves didnt and some of those that did, would not sell to me because I am not a customer. It was a snowy day and I saw one truck do a 180, spin off the road and land on its side. I pulled over, climbed onto the side, helped pull the mom and daughter out, jumped down and helped them off the truck. Both were shaken but uninjured.

I also managed 61 Ike Dollars during my run. I plan on putting them up for auction a little at a time

just make sure you don't cancel the auction to sell them all outside Ebay...

well done, though you didn't score silver, you did get a better reward, the feeling that you saved somebody from what could have been a bad outcome, and not even silver can compete with saving somebody's life...

Very nice EE, being a good sumaritian has its rewards for sure, kharma allways comes around. I like the way you mix things up with CRHing, MDing, auctions and antique stores too, very rounded system of searching there! I wish I would keep as detailed of a log as you do, very nice! I will be selling them at a local auction. I have some rolls of wheat pennies to sell, some rolls of pre 60 nickels, some clad proof Kennedy halfs, a proof nickel etc. I also plan on putting some crappie fishing lures up for sale as well since I have an abundence of them and I dont fish for anything but catfish and fish I can use for bait for them.

The log is my CDO coming out to show itself, see, I had to alphabetize it.. its that bad

As for 'the save' its sounds worse than it was. You can see the slide marks in the snow. Lucky for me, it landed next to a fence that I used to boost myself up onto the truck.
