Hello t-netters,
My partner pulled 5 mysterious items from the history enriched soil and here is the second of 5 items:
The history of the area is full of colonial, plantation, and civil war history and this item was found amongst brick/oyster shell rubble.
The item is brass and seems to have two small circular eyelets on either side... And amazingly an intact chain! AWESOME! No idea if it belongs to personal attire? or to a trunk maybe? Lock? Not sure... The age (items found so far seem to be from mid 18th century to late 19th century... NO modern trash ... More of the story of the land can be seen in another one of my 'what is it' posts... Thanx for looking!
