Most people walk past the edges (excepting sidewalks) to MD. I always liked the edges.
Some great finds there.

Thanks guys I'm goin back later today next up gold lol

I'm going to have to try that.NICE coins:award_star_gold_1::icon_thumright:

Awesome finds especially for a park. I tried this on on the parks here more than once still nothing. I hunt almost always on private property never had much luck with public places. Congrats! :icon_thumright:

Unkept edges of parks? SHUUUUUUSH!...not so loud...someone here in my unkept neck o' the woods might be listening in!

Yep, it's never where you think it is, it's where you find them. ;)

HH!

My policy is simple. If there is dirt, I dig it. TDC, Edge, Left, Right, Top, Bottom, developed, undevelop, Kept or unkempt.

I'll say it again - a lot of guys don't like hitting near the road because people will yell things or sometimes throw things
I been to plenty of places that inside areas were clean and I did good on the outsides
hit an 1800's school in R.I. yrs ago - hit around the school and found nothing -place was clean
was going to leave and hit huge 300 old tree near road - got a few wheats from the teens
hit near the road more and started getting IH pennies and barber dimes - have done same at other spots too
go under bushes - go under low lying trees both that yrs ago were not even there - go where the other guys don't

I love the edges of things. I always hit road sidings, around trees flower beds parking lot edges ect. Seems that's where I find everything. Still only finding clad though no gold or silver. Just one little pewter pendent of a dragon and it was in the edge of a pavilion. I think it is where people reach in pockets for keys ect. And park edges is where briars and logs lay so high leg lifts empty pockets and of course falling. But could it be where they bulldozed the old topsoil over for a remodel?

Congrats! Nice..

Thanks all I'm going to rethink other spots I've hit also happy happy hunting

Nice finds. Most parks down here aren't that old but I'll give it a try.
