I just wanted to share This it made me laugh but I Had a broken gold bracelet 1 g I stuck on eBay listed as scrap broken necklace. Yes I accidentally listed it as a necklace instead of a bracelet but it was broken and it was scrapped and one that probably can't be repaired. Sent it out come back and check my account a couple days later and a case has been opened. Item not as described I figured the guy didn't think it was gold. Nope he was mad I listed it as a necklace but actually it was a bracelet and he wanted to return it! I don't get it it was 9 k gold 1 g I didn't list it as a piece of jewelry to be fixed, listed it as scrap gold! So he's sending it back and I'll refund his money! There was only one end on it who said to say it wasn't not a necklace and the rest of it was missing?

Makes a difference whether it's an auction or a BIN.... because if it's an auction, any obvious mistake like that gives the buyer an out if he gets pushed a little higher than he wanted. That happened to me some time ago, different situation, but kind of the same idea. I bought some new gym pants from the UK, and when they showed up I looked at them and thought what the heck was I doing buying these green things. Then I held them up and realized they were about 4" too long... so I look at the listing to discover I did not check the length! So I threw them in the corner accepting that I screwed up, and will take the $30 loss or whatever I spent. But then a few days later when I was deciding what to do I looked at them a little closer and they were clearly used! Wear, stains, absolutely no doubt about it. So I filed a claim, and basically made the guy refund and let me keep them because for what it would cost to send them back there was no point to doing that. They were trash anyway, but the point I am making is if you leave an opening some people will take it. In my case it was justified, but won't always be.
