I picked the most interesting side of the coin and made blowups of all the countermarks. The pic titled "full coin" has labels chosen for the individual countermarks. So, see what you can decipher and post your thoughts here. Also, the VOC countermark (Cm1) may have the only correct rotation angle, so let me know which side is down...

Don, that information was interesting. I may write one of the guys on that European coin board.

Avoid hostility and argument and just asl him to send you a pic of one like it. Shouldn't be much to ask since it is so "well known".....
