I took a detour through the golden arches for some sausage McGriddles yesterday on my way to work. As I approached a busy intersection, I spotted a large black box about fifty yards out in the middle of the street. I was at a red light and had no choice but to sit there and watch as dozens of people drove right by it. Finally the light turned green and it was my turn. I cruised across the intersection and pulled over to the shoulder.
I could see right away it was a molded plastic tool box as as I got closer. I quickly found the handle and yanked the box off the pavement and hurried back to my car with purpose. It felt heavy and I heard something rattle around inside. When I flipped it over on the back seat of my car I saw the familiar butterscotch colored 'DeWalt' in big letters and my heart skipped a beat! My favorite power tools are DeWalt and I'm a huge fan of #17 Matt Kenseth.
Knowing I was on a busy stretch of road and possibly being looked at, I threw caution to the wind then threw open the lid. Inside was this DW364 7 1/4" circular saw with electric brake. These saws run $160.00 at Lowes so I was amazed that someone would let this jewel slide off of his work truck.
While at work I called the local police to report the find and leave my info. After work I put an ad in the craigslist lost and found section.
I hope to return it to it's owner but not looking good so far.
