Found this button at a place that dates around 1850 would love to have some info if possible it has gold plate and says.I MOORE & Co Then in small print it says TREBLE GILT STANDARD COL

Would like to add that the company was commissioned to manufacture American uniform buttons from 1800-1830 (source: American Military Uniform Button Manufacturer Guide). I reckon the value depends on rarity and condition. Only some expert/dealer can tell it.

Yes, it looks Navy to me, the anchor is in the shield and if it was a Infantry it would have a script "I" in the shield and e.t.c.

That button is in nice shape. It books for $75 to $125. But with the bent shank it may go for about 60. That's just an educated guess though. Personally I wouldn't worry about the bent shank.
