Duncan peak mining district, California

Does anyone on here have any historical info on the Duncan peak district besides the little bit that is written on Mindat, or maybe some pointers on finding hard to find info like this? Sounds like an area with some good potential.

Probably the best resource is the California State Mining Bureau Report XXI of the State Mineralogist, part 3. It includes a small map of the active claims in Duncan Canyon in 1925. There are also brief descriptions in other reports that cover Placer County specifically.
