Dug from old homestead site...what could this be?

Got a signal literally every 2 or 3 feet..so I assume tons of iron...I dug a lot of stuff. Only thing I could identify was the old mason jar lid with the porcelain insert still in it.
I am mostly confused as to what in the HECK the long chain object is..the chain literally kept going for a few feet and some of it literally melted away as I uncovered it..it looks like it was maybe part of a chandelier of sorts based on the large dangly objects..? But again, NO clue. First 3 pics are pics of it or pieces of it.
ALso the large heavy object also picture..door bolt? Trailer hitch (doubt it based on area and age of homestead). Thanks for any help you can give.

I'm no help but cool finds! I have found a few jar lids with inserts lately.

Hard to tell from the photo, first thought was antique barbed wire, closer look makes me think chain they used to tie up the dog. Can you see links, it looks like it in the photos.

There are definitely links. But it is quite heavy. The second picture is the end of it..and pretty heavy. There are SOME sections of it that resembled old barbed type wire but again it was attached to whatever the object(s) on the end are. I looed up old chain chandeliers and could see some with links..but I just can't tell.
Also any guesses on the other heavy object that one friend suggested could be a door bolt?

Single line and, again, has larger heavy things "dangling" from the end.
So I'm not sure tire chains are correct...nor would this homesteads last "active home site" make sense for that. Though I know anything can be found anywhere.

After examining it more yesterday, I don't think it is anything mentioned yet. Here is another picture of the 'top'. The links/chains would extend down from at at different places, like a chandelier or candelabra type thing..I don't know..you can see by where I hold it that the 'end' or 'top' of it is round and a thick metal. thanks again for any help.
