That's a great lookin' find and one you don't see all that often. Bet I've dug close to 100 of the cheap brass ones but never been able to walk over a silver one. WTG!!

Thanks everyone inside the thimble there is an S 11 3 does anyone know what that means
 

Thimbles come in various sizes (7-13), one being size 11. If so, the circumference around the base would be 2.25 inches.
Maybe the S-11 means 'size' and 'size ID'. Just guessing. I have no idea about the '3'.

Look inside the thimble. At the top of the thimble may be a mark.
 

I have always found the crap ones made out of foil like metal . Vey nice find still looking for one of those .Nice Rob:icon_thumright:
