Normally this time of year, I either hunt in the woods or fields, but since it was in the high 30's to mid 40's yesterday (and the ground isn't frozen yet) I went to a school that has been around since the early 1900's that has a couple of abandoned and condemned houses nearby. I was hoping to get on board with my 1st silver for 2016. I saw evidence that someone else hunted in the front of the school so I concentrated on the field out back. The hunts were not great, both condemned properties were very trash laden. I didn't even pull a wheat from any of the 3 sites. :BangHead: I did dig a large 1864 IHP replica from the school. When I first dug it, all I saw was part of the reverse side and immediately my thought was that I dug a LC, but after a few seconds, reality set in and I was brought down to earth. It's a cool dig anyways.

I sure am looking forward to spring when I can get back into hinting older permission sites. :coffee2:
