I spent a couple hours in the rain digging in the mud of a local park. It was cold and dirty and was I was pretty much ready to go. About 15 feet from my car I get a signal bouncing around 32-35 (I think). I wish I had spent more time analyzing the signal, I kinda figured it was a chuck of something down there and started digging it without much thought (I had a couple promising signals earlier that were busts). Without to much effort I pull out a Walker about 8 inches down :headbang: after that I decided to keep detecting for another couple hours but it was the only find of the day apart from a crusty wheat.

The other finds are from about the past month....

Nice silver and historical finds!

Shes a beauty those are very hard to find Well done nice relics also

Nice little lady there, great.....now I have another item to add to my "to do" list!:icon_scratch:

Very nice find! Sometimes I think we should just go to a point turn around and work back to the car! It happens so often.

Great looking coin...awesome hunt! :occasion14:

Nice assortment of finds. Everybody likes a Walker, all shiny and thick. Congrats.

I think most of us have done the same thing, out detecting for awhile, not a whole lot going on, your tired, decide to wrap it up for the day, then BINGO!, you make a Great find like your half, and then, well....perhaps just another hour or two. Nice find Squirrel, but so is everything in your pictures. Now that is one really good park. Love the hobby.

Nice finds! Loving the Stanly Steamer token and whatever that other one is, very cool

Congrats Squirrel! Really great finds and variety! I know that Walker was a welcome site. I think model T on the auto stuff. M T had a mixture adjustment on the steering column to compensate for altitude. So the little triangular piece is really rich or lean. The hubcap was used on the M T as well as other Ford ag and auto products for years. I'd like to see that lock after cleaning.
Best wishes and good luck for more finds like these!

Are the tokens with automobiles on them from Sunoco?

Gotta like those old walker half dollars, and the rest of your post inspires me.
