I have an old drive-in near my home, that I have hunted a few times, found my first silver dime there actually. The big problem with it is that it is now a park and they brought in tons of topsoil and dumped it over the gravel adding about 3-4 inches above the gravel. Its a very old drive in though,I met an old man there who met his wife there, she was working in the concession stand, this was in the 30's. So I know there is a lot of good stuff down there, just takes a better machine to get down to it. So I bought a better machine but havent been back there with it yet. One word of warning though,if you are hunting drive-ins eat your wheaties before you go because it is some of the toughest digging you want to run into, next time I go Im taking a rock hammer and a pair of goggles with me,may damage some of the finds but it better than not finding them at all, three inches in compacted gravel may as well be a foot in regular soil. Not to drag on but I found an old drive in webpage listed either on this forum or another,Ill try and track it down and post it,when I read it I was like 'oh ya I remember that drive-in',there were quite a few I hadnt even thought about.
