Are abandoned drive-in movie theaters a good place to hunt for coin and jewelry??

I think it might depend on which end of town it is or was in. I detected a drive in once. After the 100th wine bottle cap I gave it up. During the whole time I was there not once did I find a coin. The bottle caps were every where. I gave up. But I think had it not been where it was,that things would of been different. If I were you, Id at least give it a go. If it does not work out, then nothing lost, nothing gained.

cannot hurt trying. Most have been hit.
Stone in parking areas make for tough digging.
Concession stand; tot lots with swings for kids.
Never had much luck in one with a metal detector.

Did some "Urban Exploring and Infiltration" when I was young, came
out with some nice finds.

Do try any wooded areas around the Drive-In,
could be some interesting finds.
