you know, as much as i have been out i have NEVER found a drill............ i have found i fragment of one one, a wing, if it were complete it would have been a killer, maybe it was cerimonial. i have seen only a handfull found in the SW usa. I come across drilled pottery, beads, etc all the time, but where r the drills??? im just ranting :)

I have 42 drills that were found in KY and In. I LOVE to find them cause they just seem more unusual to me! :icon_thumright:

Chong2 I look at them like they were the last part of that tool. From exhausted arrowhead down to a drill. Its amazing to me any survived at all. I do not find many here either. Seems like there are a lot of them for sale though.
A friend collects what is called a micro drill. Its spiraled and very very small. Supposedly only found in this area. He has written a couple of papers and articles on them. They go thru most sifter screens. :icon_sunny:
