Dredge Hole

How do you keep your hole empty or kind of empty from new material from filling it??

I usually take 3 or 4 cans of spray foam from the local hardware shop and when I am finished at a spot I want to come back to, I fill the hole with spray foam, that way when I return I have a lightweight plug I can easily lift out...

With regards to finding the same spot again, I mark a big X on the side of the dredge... I did mess it up once... I took a different dredge.

And that my friends is the dribble for the day.

Ha really?! That stuff will spray underwater?

This is a pretty crappy video but it might give you an idea just how easy it can be to channel water. This small "diversion" dam was completed in about half an hour. What it might not show is how the visqueen is spread up stream about four feet and covered with rocks to keep it plastered to the bottom. I only needed to raise this section of the creek about a foot to get the flow I needed to run down the far channel to the highbanker project (which has a dam/settling pond). I'll try to do a better job w/video with a much bigger project upstream in a couple of weeks.

If you don't see my newest upload I give up....HA! Check both links above. I'll try to straighten things out in the near future....but at the moment I'm up to my belt loops with stuff going on.....And like I said that in the near future I've got my camera set up better for a much better/bigger video of a thirty foot visqueen wingdam up the creek a couple hundred feet to channel water for the season to where I hope to suck a bunch of gold.

I got you Mendo! Thanks for the 2nd link lol. I saw your video, preciate it! You would think I could have figured out how to use the search bar in youtube.. alas, sometimes the brain just doesnt do it for me.:BangHead:

I think your original link is to edit your video though. So it will take you to it, but no one else since we cant edit it. It will take us to our own video list if we've uploaded any ourselves. Unless its just me and it works for other people :laughing7:
