?? How come no-one wants to go to India etc with me?? sniff. Those old lost cities hold unimaginable wealth and artifacts, prob. never had a detector run in them, this besides the booby traps and land mines.

Hmm land mines? Booby traps? Hey Djui & Gollum, are you busy ? You can have first sweep.

Don Jose de La Mancha

p.s. where are the modern adventurers? All sedate city types now? I know that Gypsy would go at the slightest hint of a trip such as this being organized, prob. even an unorganized one.

Transylvania......amazing amount of history in that area...I imagine very little detecting goes on there.

South Pacific islands and water. Do a lot of fishing and scuba diving while I'm at it! Eat some tree-ripened mangos and drink a lot of beer. Well......back to work. :-\

There was a public swimming lake resort 20 miles from here that stayed busy from the late 40's to the late 80's . It was fenced off
with sandy beach all the way around and was over 20 feet deep in the middle. with slides cables and diving boards . A few years ago it was bought by a private firm and then completely drained. I would LOVE
to get in there and detect it. It's only about 5 acres and to my knowlege it has never been detected :P

Well, I would have to go back to Turkey. I loved it there as a kid and would like to swing a detector over such historical ground. Ancient ruins and artifacts were literally everywhere. It was fantastic!
