If you saw the post and videos by Sentinel the other day, then you know where I was hunting today He ventured out to the DIV hunt so I was flying solo today... The finds from this property are hit and miss as far as condition goes... unfortunately I made some very nice recoveries that seemed to all have plow encounters I'm still thrilled to have them Spent a total of 7 hours in the field today HH Jeff

A couple 2 piece flower buttons


Unknown Silver item




Folded up brass item with neat looking building engraving

2 counter-weights??


1838 LC, 1851 LC, worn KGII halfpenny


dateless shield nickel, 1887 IH

Thanks man, that's actually my 3rd (got a VA button and Script I last fall)

Wasn't that VA post war?

All these posts are building up the hunger in me and I'm about to release the detecting animal.

The VA from last month was for a buddy that doesn't post.. Mine was last fall Canfield Bros backmark

I bet you did better than most of the people at the DIV.

I got your call today, but was out hunting. Some of the most Exhausting hunting of my life...but found the spot right before dark. (Started hunting at 11am)

Good Lord! Remind me never to do that again...until the next hunt.


Those are some Top Notch finds. ANY Confed. button is a real thrill. And quite a haul on coppers too!

Kyle, I was in a mad drought for 2 months really... a few buttons and bullets here and there but not one old coin seems like the tide turned a little... detecting is all about streaks

No worries Buckleboy, I figured you were out in the field when I called... I'm heading out there today so hopefully I can get into another little hotspot... no wait, the whole field is a hotspot
