Hi All,

I bought a peice of dragonware today - it is a small vase - little over 6" high 2 1/2" wide - is is the black and grey with gold handles and some gold at the very lip of the vase. The bottom has a paper label - silver and blue - marked "Hand Painted Royal Japan".

I have been unable to find anything about this vase online. Just wanted to see if there were any experts out there who might know something about it.

I bought it as a Xmas gift for my sister-in-law - she collects dragonware.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi -

Thank you for the site - I have bookmarked it - but, it wasn't in there. I am thinking 40's - 50's? But, I have added picts.

Thanks for the response. Nice piece.

She has all kinds - but when I saw this one - I had to buy it. Wasn't sure how old - but, the antique store I bought it at also wrapped it in a piece of newspaper from 1942 which I thought was a cool touch.

Thanks for looking.
