Got out this evening for a quick hunt around a 1830s-1860s house site in Lancaster,Virginia. Found this Dragon button and also a spoon that is got "WM Rogers" on it.. (William Rogers spoon)
"Wm. Rogers," surrounded by an eagle and a star; this is indicative of a spoon made between 1825 and 1841.
Hard too make out the WM Rogers for the photo but it is there and it is my 2nd WM Rogers spoon.
My buddy dug a very nice 1854 Liberty large cent.. Was pretty excited for him.
