I was off of work on Thursday... lots of vacation days to burn at the end of the year.

I hooked up with fellow TNet member, Smittyman and went out for a little hunt. He had a couple of houses lined up for us. He is really good at getting us into places.

The Deus was able to locate a '44 Merc and a '63 Rosie, plus a couple of wheaties, and the usual hand full of clad.

YTD silver coins #45 & #46.

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!

Congrats on the silver's. I'm jealous

Congrats on the double silver day, Tom. At this rate you will easily hit your year goal of 50 silver coins. Add in all the silver jewelry and you've had an amazing first year of detecting. Don't you wish we lived in an area like Vino where every place you go has history?

Looks like you had a good day. Congrats on the double silvers.

Thanks Jay. I have a lot of time off between now and the end of the year, so if the weather permits, I will continue to hunt as much as I can. Hopefully I will get to 50 silver coins.
I do wish that we had older places to hunt, like Vino & Treblehunter, I would like to see Barbers and LCs show up in the finds pouch, but it's all good with me. I don't mind finding the newer silver. We just have to make the best of what we have.

Hope to see you soon. GL&HH!

That's a good silver count CT! Hope you sneak a few more before it gets too cold.

Thanks Abe (AKA: Pine Tree boy).

It's not the cold, it's the rain. I can hunt all 12 months, the ground does not freeze. If the temps are 40 or better (most of the time), then we will hunt.
It has been a fairly good first year of hunting. I found my first silver coin ever on April 5th, so I actually only got 9 months of hunting in during 2014. In case you can not tell, I am quite impressed with myself! Hopefully I will get over myself soon.

GL&HH!

That's a very good total so far. I bet you reach the 50 mark easily. You say you'd like to have sites like Vino and Treb, but what they don't tell you is they have to detect back to back so the criminals don't sneak up on them, lol. Philly has some tough areas.

It is all good down here... 55 today, and supposed to be 70 on Monday. The ferocious sketters and poison ivy are dying off about now. If you ever get a chance to get down this way, make sure you let me know. It gets cold, but doesn't stay that way too long. The rain and mud slows us down sometimes, but we get a full 12 months of hunting each year.

Stay warm,. GL&HH!

That's great that you get a full 12 months I wouldn't know what to do with all that time lol!
so for the off season up here I'm going to have to stay tuned to treasurenet for your finds!!, no pressure though!

You have been doing great Tom, nice finds. Too bad we don't have that transporter like on StarTrek, we could go back and forth hunting together. I was cutting three inch disc last winter through the ice. I might try the other route this winter, fly south like the geese used to.

We could do the Vulcan Mind-Meld on Vino too, and find out where all his permissions are!
