hi all....wondering if anyone could venture a guess as to what a double sided 1999 US nickel is worth...my uncle showed it to me...he found it in some change...it has what is normally the front side of the coin struck on both sides...never saw anything like it before.
thanks
john

I'm 99.999999% sure that that is NOT a true mint-made error coin. These double headed (or tailed) coins are "magician's coins" ~ sold in novelty shops for under $5 usually. They are made from real coins ~ but they have no numismatic or collector value. Just a funny fun item to trick people!

Still something that gets the blood pumping.

Here's a two headed 1974 penny. I had to put it under a microscope to see a faint seam where both halfs were join together. Who ever made it did a fine job.
