Let's be clear. I'm skeptical about this being anything but a trick coin. sorry I even posted it...
Why are you sorry? :dontknow: :icon_scratch:

Because OP got chastised and condescended to over posting about it.

You can take it where ever you want, but it is a novelty coin. Sure it looks circulate. You don't think they would use mint state coins for this would you? ::)

No one likes to be belittled - especially in public.

Exactly. Thank you, Madwest
Sometimes you have to consider the source. I wouldn't sweat it. Don't let some belligerent and tactless, wannabee forum bully keep you from posting, screw that.

I hope you aren't referring to me. I was just stating the facts. After several comments as to what this coin actually is, the original poster says it looks real, it isn't some tin fake, and he is going to take it to the coin shop owner. He then tried to back out of those statements by saying he was always doubting it being the real McCoy. I'm just saying that the original post asked if others knew what it was and then wasn't happy with the answers. Again, I was just stating the facts. There was no hostility in my post. Sorry if it was taken that way.

Just speaking in general terms, take it as you want it. Fact is, although there may not have been any direct "hostility" in your reply, your response was nonetheless arrogant and contemptuous. The poster bnicholas26 is a relatively new member here and your response was harsh and IMHO, unnecessary. Maybe you just need to learn how to use smilies properly. ::) ::) ::)

As to your excuse for replying the way you did-
I don't see him trying to back out of anything. He clearly states he's skeptical in his response. If you found something you were unsure about, would you just believe what someone on here tells you? Oh, they said it was fake on Treasurenet so it must be, I don't need a professional opinion. :dontknow: I don't think so. ::) ::) ::)

It looks, feels, and sounds real. I don't have a jewelers scale to weigh it. I'm skeptical. But it was in circulation and it's been well used and circulated. This isn't some cheap tin coin. I'm taking it to a coin shop tomorrow, will update....
:) Have a nice day! :)

Glad to find out I'm "arrogant and contemptuous". I've been here almost as long as you have. Apparently you've set yourself up as the "policeman" of the forum. Let the mods handle that, okay? Matter of fact, your response to me was actually the hostile one, name calling and all.

Comprehension is key. I called you no names. I said your response was as such. You started this fiasco. I'm over it.
