Silversmith and I headed out early this morning to hit some spots on his side of town that he has scouted and/or got permission for. Long story short, we didn't do very well, scoring only clad and a MS Sales Tax token (my first of the year). Our last stop was a small permission that we knocked out in about 30 minutes. I suggested that we knock on the neighbors' doors because the house on the right was circa 1852 and the house on the left was circa 1922. No one answered the door at the older house, but we were given permission at the 1922 house. Pickings were slim as I think the yard has been picked over, but I did manage a 1944d war nickel and a 1954 Rosie plus 2 wheats. That really saved the day!

That was a GREAT day in my book!

Good Job , " You never know til you ask" ...

Congratualtions on the hunt! Just getting out is the best part!

I was digging in the woods thru 6 inches of snow, had to use a pulse machine to get real depth. My wife thinks I have a problem...perhaps. :dontknow:

WTG CC. :occasion14: I want to see what other goodies you dig in that neighborhood. I see it has potential.

Excellent day's work, CC, silver is silver! Sub 8-)

Thanks for all the kind comments. We plan to head back to that street in the coming weeks and try door knocking on some other houses.
