did BONNIE & CLYDE stay there :D ?

Cool Find

Looks to me to be a hand grenade for sure. I think that is a training grenade with the training cap still in place. If you take an adjustable wrench and put it on that head on the top of the can it should turn. It is threaded just like a bolt. That one has already been shot because the spoon and pin is missing. I bet if you look around you will find them also. Most likely that trainer was used as a flash bang. That's what SWAT teams pitch in a room just before they go in. I think it was a trainer because of the blue on the top of the can. Most of the time that's what that means but not all the time. If I were you I would watch my step in that area. you never know what you could dig up. All it would take is for some old Vet to bury his casher with little trap on top.

Nice find
I would do more research on the area and the house just in case.

It a dummy smoke grenade. A real smoker is olive drab with yellow marking and a spelled out color on them. A real grenade will not have the holes drilled into the body to show that it is empty. A training grenade is also blue in color.

IF YOU DIG UP ANYTHING MILITARY IN ORIGIN THAT IS ANYTHING BUT BLUE, LEAVE IT ALONE!

Olive drab, grey, light green, yellow, and light red are "combat use" colors as well as a few others... blue is the only safe color.

looks like a greasy pizza box ;D
