Just got back from the Dominican Republic. I went to the coin museum and saw coins from 551BC to todays coins. It was very interesting. They had one display where coins were put into a clay pot and buried one foot underground. The find was dug up when they were excavating to build a new building. I bought a couple of coins and found some coins also.
I sat next to a man who is down there diving on the ship wreck the Scalion. The goverment hired him to do the dive. He gets half of the find. He owns Deep Blue Sea expeditions. They are still finding lots of treasures. He told me a couple of beaches to search but I only found a few pesoes and a horse shoe.... LOL
But we had lots of fun on the beach and snorkeling. Here are a few Dominican coins.
Thanks
