Today while detecting with the dfx, I hit a heart shaped dog tag, vdi 68 ...with around $4.50 in clad... The dog tag looked old but I noticed the address on the tag was only two blocks from where I was hunting.
So when my hunt ended..the street was one way the other way... I dropped my gear in car and walked over to the address and there was a lady in front... I asked her if she lived there and if she knew "Annie" (name on dog tag). She said that is Annie as her dog came out front. I explained to her how I found the dog tag.
I handed it to her...she did not even say thanks! She just mentioned after I told her exactly where I found it she throws a tennis ball in that area that her dog chases... Now I remember why sometimes it is not worth the effort...
