does this qualify as a find

I was out using my dectector on fine evening around 5.30pm somewhere in the Uk when i suddenly got a signal it was a piece of foil when all of a sudden I felt an object strike me on the back of my head turning around I saw a 2p piece lying there depth i would estimate at 0 inchs condition new putting it in my pocket I returned to scanning the ground only to find the same thing happening again looking up I saw a bunch of spotty teens shouting kill the nerd i think they might have meant myself. They kept throwing money using me as a target £1.67 in total then they must have run out of change because they vanished after that my question are these can I claim these as finds and why are people using detectors seen as nerds unless they happen to carry serious digging tools and I mean like the knife rambo uses in first blood or happen to be body builders I have got new glasses ditching the heavy black framed ones i used to own I have also got myself a body building book and drink potein drinks 24/7 problem solved as I no longer have the money for new batterys oh well any advice would make my day a little brighter and bring a ray of light in to my life thanks in advance the ever hopeful of striking it rich stike it rich

I found a watch one time by eyeball while swinging my detector. As far as I'm concerned, as long as you were swinging your detector at the time, it counts as a find. LOL Helps to pay for the batteries, any way.

I would keep the money and search in the same spot next time. Never know how much more money you will get. lol...

However, this is a little weird for me because, I visited the UK several times while I was in the U.S. Military and everyone was so wonderful. Great county and rich in history.

I do feel your suprise. I (not being a body builder but, of military training and family gene's) remember first visiting UK and having the military leasion's officer lecture us on the do's and don't while in UK. Nothing ever prepared me and my buddy for a young teen to calmly walk up to us and ask us, " Do either of you have a fag"? I asked, "What makes you think we are a fag"? Seeing white flushing his face, he quickly explained that he just wanting a cigarette. Of course, we all had a laugh at our mistake and he became our friend and tour guide for the next four days. So, I guess after reading your story, the next time I visit UK, I may have to rethink the teen scene a bit. lol...

agree...if you were not detecting you probably would have never been there...so I say the money counts... sorry about the punks...I have read a lot worse stories from verbal abuse to one guy getting attacked and his detector broken by some young punks...
