O.K. Folks,
It's been way too hot for me to get out to detect here in NC. I tried the plantation house yard yesterday for about an hour after work and came up with a no date Buff before being soak & attacked by mosquitoes. :(
I actually did better today at the flea market and found this little Colonial guy for $1.00. :icon_thumleft:
Note the Colonial shoe buckles too.
O.K., feel free to gong me off the stage now. :tongue3: ;D
99 & 101 degrees the next few days. :sunny:
Come on fall!!!

P.S.
Kyle, I thought this Colonial guy would make a great avatar for you. :icon_thumleft:

I thought this was normal for you US guys :icon_scratch:

Cru,
You're not going to put that one on us manly men here in the U.S.
You guys across the pond have us beat when it comes to dresses. Here's proof.

P.S. We do like our dolls though.

Now THAT was hilarious!!! Good one Nat. ;D
Speaking of vintage Sears toys, you would appreciate the other toy I bought for $1.00 at the flea market.
It's a remote control Thunder Van from Sears dated 1979. That was the era of the van customizing if you are that old to remember. Can you say "Boogie Nights"? ;D

I have to give credit to The 3 Stooges for that one :laughing9:

Yeah Doug I remember those..my brother had a purple van with the bubble window. I remember seeing the real Chevyvans with the flames on the sides when I was a kid.

Nice avatar. :headbang:

Thanks. I offered it first to Kyle to use, but he wouldn't use it because it wasn't holding a Colonial coppa. ;D

He just doesn't want everyone to know that he digs the doll.... :tongue3: ;D

Great job on your recent coins.

Did you do any research on the Colonial Doll? It might surprise you, the prices of some of those dolls. It might be old from the looks of it's hair. Did you check the back of the neck for any makers marks? It might be something cranked out for 1976 but it might be old. Do some research on it and let us know what you find out.
