Military policemen are hated by all other soldiers mainly because of our good looks and wealth. However this does not last long when you break up a hundred bar fights the good looks are no longer there.....

You were an MP? Damn I knew there was something good about you!

Hey Frank,

Look up Royal military police and British airborne or "Paras". When you join the RMP ( as i did in 1977) you are made to wear a red top to your hat ( very distinctive) you are then known as a Redcap, or monkey and many other very inappropriate names by all the crap hats who are every soldier that the Paras consider not able to wear the purple beret they wear. So the Paras call any person without the right to wear their beret a "craphat" because their beret is either crap or shi..y depending on your viewpoint

Kevin,

Thanks for the translations!

The reason we hated the MP's was because once they graduated from MP Training and got the MP hat to wear, they were just like some of the Privates that got field promotions to Sergeant. It seems that it always went their' heads and most were AH's because of it!

A couple of MP's once ticketed and roughed up a friend of mine (Earl) because they said he was speeding through the Military Housing area but the real cause was that they did not like the looks he gave them when he drove by them almost every day. When the case went before the Jag, Earl questioned as to whether they were using Radar, to which they said no. Then he asked, then how did they know he was speeding and they replied because they saw him speeding. Earl then asked if he could see the Calibration Sheets on their' eyeballs, to which the JAG threw the charges out and reprimanded the two MP's. After that incident, Earl who was retiring from the U.S. Army in less than a month and leaving West Germany, had to do everything possible to avoid the two MP's until then, as they were out for blood.

The only time I remember using my powers inappropriately was when a soldier kicked my police dog so I said he was drunk and arrested him, he was very sober but got fined 100 bucks the next day which hopefully was fair on some level....
As an MP your word on drunkeness was taken as gospel

I say he deserved more than a hundred dollar fine for kicking an animal. You should have kicked him. Hard. Just my opinion. WH

We need to see more pirate booty or I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread. Show me the goods :icon_thumright:

seriously though --

I have lots of cleaning and some more "recovery" to do, as well as going to the US to speak with some interested parties.

will update as and when I can!

thanks!

I hope things are coming along for securing the finds and what is to be found!

Good luck!

Man, it took me at least 30 min. to read through all the important replies to your thread. I would just like to say congrats on a amazing piece of history found! Its even more amazing that you found them in a bunch! I wish I could find silver like that! Where i'm at finding Spanish Silver would make the front page of our local newspaper.. :laughing7:
Anyways, congrats on a truly historic find and HH!
