Does anyone use a coil saver?

Yes I do, on all the Coils, there is one available for. about 4 years ago, while working a Lake site, a man pulled up along side me , to join in. While talking to him, he told me he had to Buy a new coil for his Machine, and pulled out his old one. The bottom was worn thru.? ? ? ?;D the best way to get the deep targets is to scrub the ground while detecting, IF you do alot of detecting and Alot of scrubbing, you DEFINATELY should have one.

a PROCESS I use on coils they don't make covers to fit & are too large or small to use a Frisbee ; I tape the whole bottom with Black Electrical tape. I avoid Duct Tape on the coil, I read somewhere years ago it has metal in it. Not shure if it's true, but I don't want to risk it & block some of the signal.

You dont want to wear oout yer coil EH? It is the the best 5-10 dollars you will spend. Just make sure to take it off and clean between the cover and the coil once in a while or you can have ground balance trouble. You can run a small bead of silicone along the edge and that will keep the sand oout EH. Cladius.

I got one free with my Garrett GTI-2500... Only for the smaller 9.5" coil... I also got a 12.5" coil, but that didn't come with a cover.

I use them on all my coils. I however have never heard of anyone swinging enough to wear a hole in their coil. I spose it has happened. I use the covers to keep my coils looking better. Chea[er to replace a 10 dollar cover then a 100 dollar coil i guess.
