Found this emblem at a farm site and would like to know the company name. It measures roughly 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" and is slightly curved. I had initially thought that it could be a bike emblem.

thanks for any help!!!!!

Those plates were of universal application, very much in the same vein as all the personalized trinkets you can buy in gift shops, truck plazas, etc. You could buy them with your initial and plop it on whatever you wanted to. There has been some misconception over the years that they were saddle plates, but that is not the case.

thanks, creskol.

the slight curvature had me thinking that it was made specifically for something.
this pic of the back may illustrate that.

I don't know that this is what you have or not, but something very similar was also found on the front fork of bicycles.

Maybe from an old British bicycle from Bradbury's era 1912 :dontknow: They made bicycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, everything :laughing7: I can't find a picture of their logo :dontknow:

I think Dano still rides one of them to this day :tongue3:

The curvature of it is no way near pronounced enough to go on a headtube of a bicycle. I bet, though, that the curvature conforms to something the size of a soup can or pop bottle.
