Does Anyone Read Arabic?

This is a tray I picked up at a yard sale today. It's about 20" in diameter and weighs more than I can accurately measure, but about 4 pounds on the bathroom scale. I checked the better known online resources for the hallmark, but was unable to find a match. I was hoping someone here might be able to identify this hallmark for me, or at least translate it for me.

I was hoping someone here could help me. To use google, you have to have your keyboard setup for Arabic characters.

Can you put it in a scanner and then copy and paste the script into google translate?

not that I'm aware. there are sites where you can pay, but why pay if you can
get help on a forum.

However I'm sure we do have a few members, who if they see this
will be able to translate it

GioTheGreek, thanks for the information. Do you know if there is a place online I can get a picture of that? The scrap guy I use doesn't payout unless you can provide documentation. Silverfinder, I bought it for $10. Yes, I'm starting to get a little excited about it.

Yes I'll check them out. I'll also check around town for a scrapper that can read Arabic.

I've just spent about an hour trying to find out more about the tray. I did decide it was Moroccan, but can't really find any information about moroccan hallmarks. I guess I'll spend some time on the phone tomorrow.

A scrap buyer should not be buying this based on hallmarks anyway. Acid test it. Highly doubt it is above 925 so take a payout on that. Could be as low as 80%.

If you are going to scrap it anyway make a scratch on it to see if its silver plated brass alot of those trays were.
