BigCypressHunter, I've managed to succeed at posting some .jpg imagefiles under the new TN format. I'll tell you (with details) how I did it. Please send me a PM with an email address I can reach you at. I'd PM mine to you, but the PMs I send to you keep getting rejected with a notification that your PM box is full.

I know. Ill try when I get more time. I cant seem to find my emails. Maybe because Im categorized as a "vistor" and not a member. (dont know icon) I have had other personal problems that are more demanding of my time and right now I may not have the time or patience to sort through the errors and learn this new system to participate in the same capacity as I have since 2004.. It seems to me odd that you have to jump through loops to post a common jpeg image. (scratch head icon) The whole thing seems to me extremely UNuser friendly.(good place for the new thumbs down icon) Maybe the new TN is geared toward young computer wizards.(dont know icon)

I think it best that I stay away for a while and try to use my much needed time for myself with all the problems Im having. Im trying to keep from losing my land to creditors, even though its paid for and all taxes and fines up to date, but not legally homesteaded...(sad icon) Ill check back in a few months and the glitches should be solved and ill try to learn the new system then. Thanks and HH..
You need to take take care of yourself first and foremost, that's for sure. But please stick around, i'm no comp. wiz and i'm learning it. Feel free to pm me about anything you may need help with and we'll work through it. Your contributions to this site have been numerous and it'd be a shame to see you lose interest here because of this new format. It will take time but you will be able to get the hang of it eventually. If I can do anything let me know, you know i'm local.

I didn't read every post on this thread, but did notice a lot of talk regarding having problems posting, etc. I'm not sure if its my new Dell computer with Windows 7 or what. But so far I haven't had any serious problems with posting ~ seeing pictures, etc. Although I do need to experiment with posting pictures (which I am going to try here again) because the last test I did, my picture ended up in a weird place on the page. If this works then all I need is a reply to this post and see if I get a email notification about it. Good luck with your current challenges. Maybe the attached picture of a Mountain Dew bottle showing a hillbilly shootin' at a revenuer is what you need to do regarding your own situation. Just kidding. I'm really not a violent person ... just one who believes in protecting what's his.

If I have a problem posting this I will be back to say so. Otherwise I will leave it as is.

Good luck.

Bob :unhappysmiley:

By the way, this isn't yore ordinary Mt Dew bottle. This one is considered quite rare and valuable.

SodaBottleBob, here's the Email Notification Test reply you requested.

By the way, in case you're wondering... your posted Mountain Dew bottle photo shows up just like you'd want it to, at least on my computer's monitor.

Thanks for the test but it didn't work via an email notification. I just noticed your message because I came back to see if anything had been posted. I'm going to check my profile settings again and see what I missed doing. Please post another reply later tonight or tomorrow and I will let you know if it works this time.

Thanks a lot.

Bob

PS ~ I think I got it set this time. I hope.

Here's the 2nd "test reply" for you.

Oh, by the way, for what it's worth to know, under the new TreasureNet software I'm not getting any email reply-notifications either, although I've got my "preferences" set to do so.

Thanks for trying again but it didn't work this time either. Tomorrow morning I will take a closer look at things and see if I can figure it out. And if anyone else who reads this has the answer please let us know.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what pops up when you post a reply, but when I do there is a task bar at the top of where I'm writing with a smily to the right of a big A. I just click on the smily and when it opens I click again where it says "More." Its in the "More" section under the heading "Imported Smilies" where I found this "Wink" icon ... There are a least 100 or more icons in that "More" section.

Good luck, and please let us know if this helps. And if someone knows how to receive email notifications, that would be a great help to some of us as well.

Thanks.

Thanks Bob. I found it. The "more" page of icons is larger than my monitor lol and the "wink" was way down the bottom.Smilie List - TreasureNet - The Original Treasure Hunting Website Diggummup tried to start a legitimate thread to address these issues and others such as the missing green check/solved icon but he was ragged by a rude newbie member and his early posts were somehow deleted. So much for trying to help. I feel bad for our moderators.

Im sorry to be off topic Microbe.72. I dont know what it is but maybe you could clean it up.

To whom it may concern. I need to delete a whooping 600 more emails to be in compliance. This may take some time. I apologize to the senders of the 445 messages that I have not received.

Great! I'm glad you found it.

I think I figured out how to get email notifications. I tried it earlier on a different thread and it worked. So this is a test to see if it will work again.

When posting, instead of clicking on the small reply with the arrow, click on the big +REPLY to Thread that is on the left side and is orange. I think the + mark has something to do with getting email notifications ... maybe. I will be back and let you know if I do or do not get a notification this time.

First of all ... my last test didn't send me a notification so I'm trying it again by using a different reply option. (Why are there so many?)

Secondly:

Big Cy ~

It sounds like you are having to delete your email one at a time. On my personal email page I can delete all of them at once if I want to. I'm not sure what type of email you are using, but on mine there is a small box on the left side of my task bar that has a check mark in it. If I click on that check-box it will highlight all of my email headings, at which time I can then click on the Delete option and they will all disappear. Do you have this same feature? If so, try what I suggested.

Yes I have the same feature but I need to read them each before I know which ones to save.
