The one on the left is a 'good for' trade token; not a coin.
The dates on the second "coin" represent the same period of time: 1960 based on the Gregorian calendar and 1380 based on the Islamic calendar are the same periods.

dang mac beat me to it :wink:

the "good for 5" cent off a "loaf" -- makes me think its a bakery token --the name of the bakery might be on the flip side "P----W"

I read the figure as 5 cents, not 50 cents, reasoning that during the time these tokens were prominent, 50 cents was much more than a loaf of bread would have cost; ergo, the figures is 5 cents--my guess.

dang my old eyes that cents symbol looked like a 0 to me -- your right of course didn't have my time frame cost thinking hat on :wink: but I still say bakery related what with loaf on it but most like 5 cents off on a loaf
