Hi everyone,
How are you all doing? I hope your having a great weekend, I see some of you have found some cool stuff, this is such an awesome hobby! Today was gorgeous, after the clouds went away,
If I told you that Chug had an awesome day, I mean really, really good, would you believe me? If you follow my posts, you all know this man totally outdid himself, big time! You might want to get something to drink, and get comfy.
It started yesterday at work, he assisted a soon to be a ex tenant to move her stuff out, the apartment is trashed, she was supposed to be out on the first, and her apartment has already been rented, they are moving in on Friday. Chug saw this little fountain on the stairs, and kept going by it. He decided that if it didn't get broken by the time he was done pulling carpet, doors and so on, he would bring it home for me, well......
what do you think? Your right, it didn't get broken!We did running around this morning before hunting, waiting for the weather clear up. We hit a school we hadn't hit for awhile, it didn't pan out, so we decided to go to another school, OMG there was no stopping Chug, He had one heck of a day, I'm not ashamed to say I was a wee bit green when he found some awesome stuff. I want to be like him when I grow up!
He found some clad, and ended up finding 2 rings, not together, in 2 different area's in the wood chips
next he found a butterfly,
and he had fun digging up the remains of a bracelet made with hemp, beads and little bells, 
dirty.....
clean. About an inch down, Chug found this awesome pendant, its a little strange, not to everyone's liking, I think its cool! 
it looks like a bird head, it creeped my sister out when I sent her a picture! I found an earing, 
it was under a swing, and this cool star 
and, I found an awesome rock
right now there is a fad of painting and hiding rocks in our town, I don't know who has more fun, the people painting and hiding the rocks, or the ones finding them. this one is Evan's rock, it's amazing how many talented people are out there, sharing finding the rocks that other people decorate, really makes you feel so good, even when you have a rough day. The idea of people spreading good will, and creating art on rocks to brighten someone's day, makes me want to cry, the good kind of cry, especially nowadays. The other rock I saw was when we were at WinCo, we stopped to get dinner, we were going past the phone booths when I saw this guy waiting a new home..... the great punkin...... he was under a phone booth, as we were leaving the parking lot, I said "ROCK! Chug stopped driving so I could get the newest rock for our collection. 
Anyway, we found the usual crap, pull tabs, foil, you know what I mean. Soon, Chug found a little religion
and a cute earing,
he also found $1:87 in clad, and his best find today was...................wait for it..............
can you see it, the dirt and grass, and that tiny bit of something....
holy cow, Chug struck gold, 18 karat with a hallmark on the inside of the band. Chug was detecting the field where we've seen hockey and football being played, he had a feeling and started gridding, I'll never forget his face, there he was, sitting in the muck and grass, with a look of total shock, and his mouth hanging open, he could not believe he had struck gold. Last time he found a gold ring was around 5 years ago. When I saw it, I said :YOINK!" and the ring sits comfortably next to my wedding set! I figure if I cant find gold, but Chug does, the least I can do is keep it on my finger so it doesn't get damaged, right? Chug findith, and I take it away! Like I said, Chug kicked my butt and took names, oh and BTW.........Do you want to tell him or should I that the bells bracelet that he found..............is silver?!?! Oops, guess he knows now! Take care everyone and stay safe, and remember to not give up, the good stuff is out there, its up to us to find them!
