I think we should have a ebay subforum :) Just wondering if you ship internationally, I choose not to right now, was told by ebay themselves on the phone there was a lot of scammers and to only sell to US and Canada. Exclude shipping locationsYou can exclude entire regions or specific countries you do not wish to ship to by selecting one or multiple options.

I personally do not ship internationally. I haven't looked in to it too deeply, but I do not believe delivery confirmation is considered adequate proof of delivery for international shipments? I have shipped to Canada a few times with no problems. I have also had users who have had other countries listed as their country of origin on their myebay page, but had their shipping address listed in the US. The addresses were paypal confirmed addresses so I shipped, and in both instances everything was fine.

great thread!!!! I am going back and forth on whether or not ebay should be a sub forum, it seems as though most individual forums handle this topic. Of course, a thread such as this is not specific to any forum, but of course an ebay forum may not have many followers.

I only ship nationally. I don't sell often, and don't want to deal with any nonsense. larger sellers may have more issues

I offer Free Shipping on 99% of my items. For that reason alone, I only ship to the US. As most of you know, you are required to ship with Delivery Confirmation (or some form of tracking) to protect yourself and prove that you actually did ship the item. This is another reason why I only ship to the US. Try getting International tracking. Even to Canada, it can be $15.

I'll ship internationally but it's gonna cost them an arm and a leg.

I have shipped to the UK, Germany, and Japan with no problems. I have also shipped to Puerto Rico a few times. However the USPS considers Puerto Rico just like any other state. There is no premium.

Outside of Garage sale finds, my primary sales is Olympic Stuff. I sell about 75% outside the U.S. I rarely have problems. That could be from what I sell, it could be like that in general. I've rarely had trouble with sales outside the U.S.

I'll shipped just about anywhere as long as they are willing to pay the insane shipping cost. I've increased my sales by atleast 15 % by doing so. It opens up a whole new market of people to sell to & I've never had a problem with scammers outside the u.s.

Most items I will offer International shipping. After 14 years I've shipped to at least 20 different countries without a problem. The only exclusion is Italy. Too many fellow ebaYers that I know have had problems with shipments there. Besides, the list of restricted items is as long as my arm.

Restricted Items list [Italy]: Italy

I sell mostly old British motorcycle parts and about 1/4 go overseas. I have blocked Indoneasia due to repeated scammers and buyers wanting to renegotiate after the auction. I ship a lot to Japan, Germany, UK, Australia, New Zealand with no problems. I have had a lot of problems with shipping to Brazil. Postal Customs are crooks in Brazil.

I have shipped things in the past to UK, Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Sweden, Turkey, and Germany. That being said, I would consider shipping internationally depending on the circumstances (I just typically choose not to). Based on stories and research, I would NEVER ship to Brazil, Italy, or Indonesia (or any country with an unstable political situation, obviously).

Really depends on what you sell, but many don't and miss out, because ever since the US dollar fell over the cliff, Ebay made better searching connections between countries, and buyers are just smarter and a little more crafty, there's a lot more foreign buyers shopping on the .com. But again, it all depends what you sell.

I will not ship internationally at any price. The likely hood of trouble is just to high.

How do you know that if you don't do it? I do ship overseas, and have many hundreds of times and there is absolutely no difference in the number of problems and losses compared to the US.

I am not a huge power seller. When I sell an item it is because I will either make some money on it or I just want to get rid of it. I just like to keep it simple at the level I sell at.

I should have added in my last post it does depend what you sell. Most of the people I deal with I think tend to be more on the serious side, and quite a bit different than maybe a 16 year old kid looking for shoes. If I was in the US there would be some things I'd ship International and others I would not.

I tend to mostly list auto parts for older model American cars as well as just odds and ends. I really just use ebay as a means to sell something that is hard to sell locally. But as you said if I was more serious I would probably sell/ship internationally.

I used to sell my agatized coral to alot of knappers all over the place, the only problem with that is the boxes cannot weigh more than 26lbs( I think thats the right number) and that did affect what they got. I have never had any problems with the shipping or recieving...after having succesfull sales from Ebay I stopped and had the customers contact me by phone or email and carried on that for for over 5 years mailing out at least 10 FRb`s a month or more. Stopped it all about a year ago, no more rocks to sell, lol and hoarding what I have left

I have shipped everywhere including Saudi Arabia, Russia, Chile and some countries I have never heard of with rarely a problem. I do not ship high dollar items so the occasional loss far offsets the additional revenue. The county that I have seen to have repetitive problems is Brazil but still worth it.

I ship internationally, to most places, with the exceptions being those already noted. No problems yet, except for a $10 item I sent to Canada...and I personally believe in that incident, the guy was just a scammer.
