This is the only site I read daily. I might get directed to another forum when I google a question, otherwise I am a Loyal Tnet charter member.

We average over 800 new members a month, to date we have 559 new members this month..

Hello TH!

So you fell you don't experience the Demise of the Metal Detecting Forum? Honestly?

As I said sir we are still growing, we would have to lose 800 members a month to not be growing.

Here are some more stats.

Daily Unique Visitors 13,854
Daily Page views 75,906

now how many of those are Trolls? Good question.

Most regulars stopped posting finds. I ceased posting from finds althogether. hh gl -Joe

Froggy, I noticed the same thing.. And I believe the Beach forums are evolving into something different now, Less posters, more Lerkers.. Not a Bad thing, but not a

good thing either.

My opinion, if your going to take information from something you should also give once and awhile to keep it alive.

I mostly only post to this forum and hardly ever post a find. I like a pat on the head as much as the other guy but don't need it. Newbies need to put their time in an learn how to retrieve a coin without leaving a mess but I wonder if they retain what they read. I can hardly stand to watch YouTube video's of every one digging deep holes in grass.

It is a good question. One thing I have found is there are more lurkers than I realized. When I talk to people, they know many of the posts, but do not themselves post. The forum is a good way to share info and pictures sure provide incentive. Too bad more do not get more involved, as they lose the chance to meet like minded people.

So true, I just got back from a visit with friends in New England, all members that I meet here on T Net and Friendly. Had a great time and shared Hunt time, stories, Breakfast and laughed a lot...And this was my second trip in as many years...
