Do people seriously buy these?

Haha so true! Thats what I always think when I see rolls of supposedly "unsearched" coins!

Yeah they do, some sellers have sold several hundreds of them, seen them sell for over $30 a roll plus shipping. Some sellers on there sell whole boxes, yep, there is a sucker born every second.

I buy them all the time. At the bank. They only cost me 10 dollars though.

I want to start buying boxes of coins and selling them on ebay for nearly twice FV! Yeah, I asked a seller "If there are two indian heads on the ends of your unsearched rolls, wouldn't you just assume it's just a roll of indian heads and not wheat pennies from the 40's and 50's?" No response yet. Asked yesterday night. I don't expect to get one either. And if I do get one, I am almost certain the response will be something like, " I don't know, but I can assure you that these are truely unsearched rolls of coins."

I was going to, just don't forget seller's fees, packageing, going to the P.O. everytime you turn around, unsatisfied buyers etc....
But it might be worth it.:dontknow:

be sure to weigh the rolls, so you don't ever give out silver.

This is not primarily for US buyers, it is for international buyers. They don't have silver in their coinage like we do, and their banks don't circulate old currency. I know this to be true for the UK, and many other countries are probably very similar in their coin policy. Coin roll hunting is no secret, and many people have caught wind of what we are doing over here in the states with our coin hunting. Plus, older American coins, even JFK clad halves have a premium overseas that we would think of as being outrageous. I have also thought of this idea as well, and think it is quite brilliant.

That's the first rule of this scam. The second rule is "Never inform your buyer of rule #1."

The real interesting roll would be the one where they give you the exact gram.1/10gram.1/100gram weight of the roll.

Do you think a heaver roll would get bid up? Would you want to risk a low bid? Somebody try it!

I saw an EBay auction where some fool paid $56 + shipping for a $10 roll of halves

Hahaha, he's sold a bunch of those... I guess if your too lazy to go to the bank....but don't think for one second your getting an ender or silver at all for that matter .

Most of the auctions I have seen say that the rolls they are selling "come straight from boxes where I found silver already". Then the crap ones go up for auction.

It's ignorance, a lot of people don't know you can get halfs at the bank.

I called out a seller on Ebay for listing Eisenhower "Silver Dollars" when his picture clearly showed they were clad. We started to argue through messages but I stopped when I remembered that arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics, even if you win you're still ******ed. I just ended up reporting him.

Oh and I didn't buy any from him, I'm not stupid.

And I guess you can't say r3t@rd on here? Thought this website was for adults.

It's not exactly PC. I think one of the mods said a while back that it filters the word out, because someone said "f i r e - r e t a r d a n t" in a post and it automatically censored it.

Stupid is as stupid does.....Mom of Forrest Gump

Whenever I see it, I email them asking how different it is then the ones I get across the street. Never get responses.
