Dizzys Diggin Thread - 2014

Hang in there Mike, im getting the same way these days,
1 day on 2 days to get over the walk and work, keep on trucking buddy.
You still smoking those dadgum cigs ?GT.................

I've had nough of this talking about my crappy health and not gold,
and could be the body has been listening. Think the issues are about
past, and I can get back to living like a normal person again. 8-)

2nd day now that the dizziness and nausea are gone, blood sugar is
back in the normal range. The disease is episodic, and ya never know when
it's coming back....but for now it's way past time to start planning the next
adventure.

You young healthy guys out there best appreciate what you got, cause
when parts start going bad it can sure put a damper on your fun.

On to bigger and better things...

Herb: Yep..not much of an option there. I quit once for an entire year (9/2010-9/2011)
and it did not go well. Quitting is not a option for me, so whatever issues
it brings I'll just have to deal with. Already got that damn COPD, so
the worst damage is pretty much already done, and I'd rather concentrate
on enjoying the good times instead of dreading the bad.

Maybe I'll go out like my buddy...just walk in the kitchen and drop
dead..dunno, but until then I'm going for as much of life as I
can swallow, and ain't gonna worry about it.

I have to agree with you Dizz. Getting older sucks.

Good People

Being a night-owl has some nice advantages over being up primarily in the
daytime hours.

Although I live in a somewhat developed area (large lots), after about 6pm it gets
quiet to the point that you can hear a hoot owl sharing the latest owl gossip
from 2 blocks away, or the sound of a salmon splashing back into the river
after a leap. The odd dog bark really cracks the silence, but at the moment
there are no constant barkers anywhere within hearing distance.

It's the kind of peaceful silence that gives a thinkin' man time to think..not
necessarily lofty thoughts, but just pondering the tracks left behind on the
trail of life, and the future adventures to be had.

I've traveled a great deal; been to 47 of the 50 US states, most of
the Canadian Provinces and even spent a couple weeks in Israel back
in '99. Met a lot of people and learned some very tough lessons along
the way. People I met were mostly good, some bad, and very damn
few that I came to trust as friends.

I've found that internet forums, in general, can be much the same.
There's mostly good folks, the obvious bad ones that never stay
around long or be run out on a rail..and then there's the ones ya
just can't put a finger on.

It's hard to find good people in the world today. People of good heart
that see you as you are and like to be around you anyway, and not as
someone to be taken advantage of for their own gain. People willing to
give of themselves to others simply because it makes them happy, and
who aren't looking to make their next payday or socially-upward
move off of someone else's back.

That's what makes TNEt's Prospecting section special. The attitude of
helping one another find success sure beats the crap out of a forum where
people would rather verbally bash each others brains out over some stupid
political or "new world" ideology. The pursuit of gold transcends such
things.

All that just to say... Thank You. There's good people here,
and if we all didn't have the long miles between us there would no
doubt be many lasting friendships. I have a hard time trusting
anybody, but in all honesty I can say that any of you here will
always be welcome at my campfire.

With ya Mike...lotsa decent folks out there in the world but even more so here :)

Where's the chicks at? Just kidding guys. Just saying hello. Hoping summers treating ya good. It's too freaking hot here in AZ. Haven't even gone detecting. Then my buddy shows me some nuggets he found in the past month. I wanted to scream. He told me of this area and I put it off. Been in a lot of pain and figured, ahhh next week. Well you know that turned into another. So I swung by to visit him on the way to the rodeo up in Payson. I had my youngest son with me which he likes detecting, but he doesn't think we'll find gold. Then my buddy showed him the nuggets. Just wish I had pics for ya.

hey dizz I was whatching this video

and I was thinking what if you could feed you gold cube like a mini highbanker with unclassified material
so I made this vague plan for ya on paint(my paint skills are not the best)
gold cube hopper.png
is this something you would try or are you happy with your hose/bin classifier

Kiddo..MUCHO THANKS for taking the time to draw that up...:icon_thumleft:

One of the site members (stephenhansen) has made a trommel
that's designed to feed his GC, and I hear it works well.

Did you see the one I made (post #52 in this thread).

I'm on the DL for a while though; at least until the doc figures
out wtf the issue is with my blood pump, and we can figger out a
way to fix it...:cussing:

Looks like good stuff Kiddo, just keep the total water flowing into the cube below the manufacturers max...overshooting will blow out gold :(

Wtf is wrong with the blood pump?
Mines left side issues. Then the pain. So then I finally say f it and now I'm finally getting back out. Got to get my head back. So going to hit some of this flood gold we just got hit with. Hoping to finally detect a nugget but if I run an ounce through the sluice in a day. I'd be happy then too. Hope you get better.

Just had an ultrasound of my heart and cartoids today, so I expect
they'll have some kind of clue in a few days.

All I did was tell my doc that several times in the past few weeks it felt
like I had a muscle cramp that hung around, and it was just under my
left ribs. Next thing she was listening to my chest, and chewing
me out for not coming sooner or going to the ER.

I really didn't think it was any big deal, as it honestly felt just
like a muscle cramp..:dontknow: Anyway, if she doesn't like the
results from these tests she wants me to do an angiogram.
Until that time she said no hard work, and, worse yet, I made the
mistake of telling my wife...

Not going to get too concerned about it till they give me some
answers, or start talking about poking holes in me.

My daughter and 2 of my grandsons were over today, and they
brought a 5 gal. bucket about 3/4 full of some paydirt they bought
off ebay. They're still learning, and wanted me to go through it to
see if they missed any. One look at that big bucketful and I hauled
out the Gold Cube. Ran it all and panned out the cons, and they'd
missed a few small flakes and one about 20 mesh. Not out diggin'
my own, but it sure was fun.

Better yet, my 10 yo grandson was helping me every step of the way...:icon_thumleft:

Hang in there dd . Hope its nothing. Been there done that. Best of luck.

The only thing you have to worry about is having your wife telling what not to eat and do lol. Best of luck to ya.

Funny thing being born into technology it took me like 5 mins to draw that up

Hey Mike! I don't check my phone messages very often, so I am so sorry I missed your call. This week has been hellish, Ill shoot you a call and we can talk game plan this weekend! Hang in there Buddy!

Well Dizzy,
At least they're bringing you some dirt to play with. I think I'm finally going to get out and play up around lynx creek area again. Been a year and we've just got all that flood happen. So hopefully my older so can make it. Got to teach him how to speed pan then dump cons into bucket to process later. I did pretty good last time for the small amount I did with my 66 yo mom. She had a blast. She and my wife worry too much about my health though to.
Stay strong brother. Hope tests come back good. Then if they do anything. Your ticker gets better. I've heard of that happening.
I'm wishing mine was that easy, but it's not. So I'll just deal with it and go find some yella stuff. It's always great to get out in nature. Even if it's a day or two.

Quick update here...

Got a call from the doc, and she said my neck arteries are fine.
My heart is doing well, but I have a "left bundle branch block".
Said it's nothing to get too worried about, but she'll be watching
it closer from now on. Basically, she said it's a heart murmur.

So, I've been released off the DL providing I don't work myself
too hard...

Good news dizzy. Hope mine will be as good. At least I'll have my gold to play with from the trip. Well hopefully. This will be a good trip for my son and I. Haven't had my highbanker out since I put in my spray bars. So I'm hoping this'll just get me to shovel in and then clean mats. Without really having to classify buckets. But will probably still do that to bring some home. Really hoping to only bring cons though. So much less of a mess.
