Went to Dania Beach this morning, found a variety of stuff. The best find and a first for the Discovery 3300,being a 14k gold and diamond tennis bracelet! Along with that I found the usual few dollars in clad,a Canadian 2 dollar coin (didn't know there was such a thing) and an unidentified foreign coin,a sterling earring with a crystal in it,a toy race car, some kind of hinge,a few nails and a container lock or part of one at least. Also the usual 30-40 bottlecaps and pulltabs.
The day was beautiful and sunny and hot.I detected for about 3 1/2 hours at 2 different locations.I got there just as the sun was coming up.I'll post some pics of my finds and then some of the beach.Have a good one.

That's AWESOME, dig!! As I have said before. The D-3300 is a really great machine. I can get detect over a foot sometimes in wet sand with one of those. Keep 'em comin'!!

Laater...

Congrat's on the gold Diggum....Stil lookin' for the first myself....I was wondering if the beach hunter's start kicking sand at each other if you get too close to one another!! :)

That's the best thing about MD'ing in Canada...we have one and two dollar coins! Loonies and Toonies respectively!

For those who are not aware that is the only type of one and two dollar denomination...we've completely phased out the one and two dollar bills. There are talks now of getting rid of the five dollar bill in favor of a five dollar coin...oh happy day when that happens!

That brings back memories of many yrs ago. I used to launch my little boat there in Dania to go out of port Everglades.

Good finds. I enjoyed the pics.

I was having some trouble in the wet sand with it today.I seem to have been getting either a lot of very deep signals (over a foot) or "ghost" signals.I didn't have too much luck in the wet sand.A lot of erratic beeping.Any ideas on it? I thought it may have been the batteries getting loose or something but they checked out okay.I tried reducing the sensitivity, but that didn't help either. The BH Lonestar never gave any problems in wet sand so I don't know what's up.

Your welcome Bob,I haven't been offshore for a while now.Maybe i'll do some shrimping over the winter, with any luck getting off of work that is.My buddy has a 22' Proline we go out on.3 foot seas or less on that boat though.Anything else is too much like work.

Take care and thanks for the replies everyone.

Nice bracellet,

That will knock a few dollars off the detector.

Congrats on bracelet. Nice variety. That is the best time to go, at sun up. 8)

I might enjoy digging clad if we had a $5 coin. ;D

Awesome haul Dig. Bracelet is beautiful!! Glad to see you're beach hunting! Should be really good by the end of the week with the surf kicking up for the next few days!! ;D

P.S. The $2 Canadian coin is a called a Toonie. The $1 coin is a Loonie. Used to travel to Canada a lot when my son was playing Ice Hockey.

cngrats on the finds with the bh3300. I'm hoping to have a little luck and find some old relics with the same machine. Dug some old tin cans, some clad and fishing lead weights last night at a foot deep too. Maybe my luck will change. Once again, congrats.

Congratulations on your gold find. I just found my first real gold find yesterday and WOW feels great doesn't it? Also congratulations on all of your other finds. Great haul.

It has become very expensive to live in South Florida. Many here are discontented and moving to North or Central Florida. Even though I still like the location, South Fla. will soon be for the wealthy only. Ask the preacher for a little extra. :)

Does Florida let bums sleep on the beach.
Im not real proud as long as I got my detector

That can be dangerous. Some bums were killed recently by kids with baseball bats. :P S. Fla. is now a large city with all the problems of large metropolitan areas. You may like it, but I will probably move further North myself, where you can get much more for your money.
