Holy smokes Ron, that Celtic gold is outstanding. Do an England trip is high on my priority list. Did you do any more mucking?

Nice finds.Congrats.HH.

Fantastic finds! I would consider that a Banner worthy week, without a doubt.

holy smokes those are awesome finds

I think England is misleading. Colchester should be the title I guess.

CELTIC ENGLAND. Trinovantes. Addedomaros, Late I Century BC. Gold Stater (5.50 gm). Six-armerd spiral / Horse, cornucopia below. vA.1620 S.201. aXF. Rare.
Here is an over priced example of your lovely looking coin. It books in 2010 in VF at £575 although yours is better than that & a well centred example on both sides. So maybe about a £800-£1000 find! Very good for just 1 week.
Your find makes perfect sense as the main centre for the Trinovantes was at Camulodunum (Colchester).

I see you have an Italian Soldino or 'Galley Halfpenny' as they are often called, the history on these are quite interesting - research it, if you haven't already.

Crack on you still have time for another!

PS. (picture 4) Charles I never had any voided long cross pennies, more likely a Henry III.

PPS. I'm voting banner, any celtic gold is a banner find in my books. Still plenty (& I mean PLENTY) of long term UK hunters without 1.

Very nice Ron looks like your off to a great start

That's quite a first week you had there Ron. Hope the 2nd is even more productive (if that's even possible). Good luck!

Way to go Ron. Enjoy the hunts over there and keep pulling out treasure.
