During my last two hunts at "Barber Hill" with Kimsdad, shotgun shell brass,
.22 casings, pocket knives, and cheap tableware were plentiful. During our first
hunt, I felt fortunate to recover two Wheats and a "Evanston Railway Co" token and
after some research, was able to date it somewhere between 1913 to 1937.

Probably my most unusual find was a 6-holed, oval-shaped brass plate with
a patent marking of June 2, 1914. . . which turned out to be the sole plate for a
"Triple Splice" Spalding spoon golf club :o

During our hunt today, Kimsdad & I were joined by Looking4Seated. He must have
brought some luck with him because just after he arrived, I found a 1900 V-Nickel
and soon after, another Boy Scout pocket knife and an early Wheat.

All in all, it was fun to get out and enjoy :icon_sunny:

Thanks for looking,

Great day to be out hunting today.

Congrats on that Liberty Head!

Met up with pops after I left and went to 'his' spot, and didn't do so bad.

Great hunt guys!!!! Just don't hunt that place out without us! :tongue3:

No worries. I have a new place for us to get out. Looks like it has never been hunted either as to the amount of goodies I found in a very small area.

Great finds, Mark!!!

I was happy that one of the three of us picked off an oldie today.

That spoon and fork are nice, too. Look at the points on that fork! :o I found one last year with tines just as sharp. You really had to be careful when you were eating back then, I guess! ;D

Did you see the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile on your way back home? :tard: Legit - it was at Euclid & Milwaukee!

Nice finds again!
You guys sure had a beauty of a day to be out running in the woods.
Mike

Another round of winners Mark! Looks like much ado about picnicking sometime in days gone by there.

Thanks everyone for the comments!

When I dumped my trash out of the bag last night, I must have had at least 20 brass
shotgun shell heads and a dozen .22 casings. . . that had rung up as pennies :P

It's funny about the .22 casings. . . they were all near the creek so someone must
have been using frogs for targets.
