DIGGING IN A LARGE AREA DATING BACK TO 1920'S

Today I spent an hour and half digging in this large area. The top layer of grass was scraped and I a found 8 wheat cents 1919, 1951D(2), 1952, 1953, 1955, 1956D(2), small earring, lipstick tube cover, 6 clad cents, and one clad dime. I'm pretty sure there must be silver here as the area probably dates back to the 1920's. I found these coins between 1 to 2 inches of dirt and a few were a little deeper. Then I started digging clay and my hands hurt, even got a blister. LOL I have no idea how I am going to cover so much ground, especially as I only covered about 10 feet today. I haven't cleaned any of the coins yet, so the pictures are really dark. There are no signs posted to keep out and the area is not fenced in all the way around, even the police drove by but they were not concerned with me digging there.
