I got my copy of Jeff Foster's book, Digging Deeper With The DFX yesterday. It's a treasure in it's own right. I can't put it down. I have had my DFX for almost two years & I am learning stuff I never dreamed of. If you have a DFX & you don't have a copy of this book, you are at a disadvantage. GET A COPY!

It is easy to read & understand. It's full of charts & diagrams & every step of every change possible is coverd in details that any average detectorist can understand.

Can you tell that I am impressed? Spotz

I have a DFX that I am still learning the basics of. Where did you find the book?

Yep awesome book. When I first posted about getting a DFX I was told Jeff's book was a must-have. It has given me a great understanding of the machine.

??? Is it just me, or does it seem strange that we spend 1000.00+ for a detector, and have to look around to find books explaining how to actually find good targets? (I do the same thing)......IMHO, every detector manufacturer should provide the consumer with the most complete and accurate information possible for their product. They could do this online, and continually update the online manual for special applications and programs.

excellent book. easy to follow, but tons of useful info.

I finally got a chance to get out & try some of the new stuff I learned from the book. Made it out for an hour & a half but didn't have time to go far so I hit the old bleacher area of old ball field again. I have pounded this spot hard myself just because it is handy & I know there is silver there.

I was going pretty fast but using new settings & technique tips from the book, I picked up $3.45 in clad & a couple of wheaties from the place I scoured just a while ago & it has been unused between then & today. It's a great book. I look forward th hitting some fresh sites.

Oh yeah! I only dug 3 pull tabs. All other hits were coins. Mostly nickels & dimes. That was a change from normal. I usually dig a ton of trash. If you have a DFX & don't have this book, you're really missing out. Spotz

I got my DFX for my birthday last month and when I saw the Digging Deeper Book at a local detector shop I had to have it. After reading the book I realized why I never really found anything with my XLT. Since reading the book I have a whole new understanding on how this thing works and why I never used to find anything good. I was really surprised with how much deeper I can detect now. I have recently been to South Padre Island, TX where I found 2 very nice rings on a beach that was picked clean by other TH'rs and beach cleaning equipment. They were between 6" and 7" deep. its a great book and a must have if you have a DFX. http://www.dvickers.com/found.htm
