Didn't know what it was until I saw the light.
When I first saw this I figured I might be able to sell it to be used in a steampunk project. Having no idea what it was I thought I would have to post it on the what is it thread. After finding the markings Bray Luda 22 litres it came up as a Carbide Acetylene lamp, possibly used in mines.
For $7.50 it was worth the gamble.
