Strange how things get around the world...
Took advantage of the nice weather to detect some of the back yard at our place on my lunch break today and was surprised to pop this out of the ground. Had no idea what it was but a quick search reveals it's a 1960's / 1970's telephone token from Turkey. And I found it in Northern Kentucky.
Anyone else ever dig one of these? Perhaps someone in the military lived or visited here and dropped.
Thanks for looking!

I agree 100%, how some of things end up where they do can be a deep mystery. That is a very cool token- Congrats!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

The tokens in Italy are called gettone. I still have one from my travels there. The first time I went there I landed at Milan and took a train to Turin. I needed to call my cousins to come and pick me up. I had to scramble to find these danged tokens before I could make the call.
