That's t-shirt weather (except where TJE is, that's long sleeve shirt weather for us Canucks 8-)) up where I am. We've had 7 weeks of -40 Fahrenheit or colder this year. New Years Eve got down to -70 Celsius with the windchill out at my cabin. Ever see a bottle of Rum freeze completely solid?

Heh heh,...DIU, just like 'the sun will rise tomorrow'..it will warm-up..trust me! ;)

Hello,
I'll be glad when it warms up again! Spent about four hours shoveling and plowing snow today. It's 7° right now and the wind is really blowing. I expect everything will be drifted in tomorrow morning. School has also been canceled. I'm sure glad I paid for a summer fill and prepaid 500 gallons of LP last summer! On the brighter side I'll be tapping my maple trees for the first time in about another month. Seems like this might be a good hobby to help break those winter blues.

Thanks,
Sidevalve45

We are being told by the local news that it is likely to have a "winter mix" down here by Tuesday. Winter mix is the weather man's way of saying that it's going to do something but, he ain't too sure what it will do.. Could rain, could sleet, or it could snow (which I doubt that).

It will not be too long though before it is hot again and the gnats will be a flying!

Famous last words I guess. It appears that it be snowing here in Southwest Georgia later this evening. Not a common event. I live an hour and a half north of Tallahassee Fla.

Maybe not if your lucky. I was off today and tomorrow. Im still off but doing nothing now but waiting for the snow to melt.

1 degrees (or is it degree?) farenheit.

I'm in the boy scouts, and we have a camping trip coming up, so we were discussing how cold our sleeping bags were rated to (how cold it could be and the sleeping bag will still keep you warm).
One boy, obviously confused, excitedly told us that his bag was rated to -10 celcius. After seeing our bags were rated to 0 farenheit or -2 farenheit, he thought he would try to be cool and essentially exclaim his bag was rated to 14 farenheit. It is supposed to be 8 degrees where we're going this weekend, so God have mercy on his soul if he was actually telling the truth.

I know my grandpa lives in florida and is cold at 50 degrees, so snow is almost painful in that area. My parents have had a lot less trouble driving with 4 wheel drive on our new car, but they've been driving for well over 20 years (not a combined total of 20 years, of course...) and still have trouble with it.

Aren't there like no hills down there either? I don't know where exactly you're from, but once we hit SC on our drive down to Florida on Route 95, there are no hills.

There is hills here and small mountains. Now its not like the big mountains in W VA. But small ones. Quite hilly here. I wouldnt be sleeping out in weather like that, stay home and enjoy the heat.
