Did some digging near New Bern

I gave this old school by the Neuse River a better shake with the old Tesoro. I got a few goodies, .75+ cents, a fishing lure , rolled coin, buttons, found a old bottle dump also, stainless washer pocket spill.

The old button tells me this spot is old glad to find that. Might be a ink well bottle......later

Note that back is the same as yours. It is Pre-Civil War make, but most likely it was used during the Civil War.

Civil war buttons,antique buttons,revolutionary war buttons,confederate buttons.

Thanks for the info. yeah the back does look real close in font and design.....i looked on the front under a loupe there is a something there but i can't make it out....not to good a shape on front.
