I am looking to buy a set of quality headphones for my IDX, but was wonder if there is really any BIG difference between something like a Whites GT headset and some nice regular headphones that cost half the price? I like the GT model, but I m a college student and do not have a lot of cash to buy them.

Any comments would be appreciated!

It's always best to aquire the best headphones you can afford. Manufacturer's have testing labs and have spent lots of money on research to match headphones with their brand of detectors. Yes, you can still hear with cheaper ones but getting a pair that has individual vol controls for each ear and is mono/stereo switchable is still the best.

Stoney,
I went ahead and followed your advice. I picked up a set of White's GT headphones and i really like them! I would recommend them. Thanks for you help.
